| Objective: By reviewing the research of Morinda officinalis How. from 2010 to 2020, this paper summarizes the research progress of Morinda officinalis How. and to forecast its development prospect. Method: Through literature research to summary the progress in terms of variety research and resource distribution, chemical composition, quality standard, DNA molecular bar code, processing method, extraction process, content determination, etc. Results and Conclusion: It is concluded that the research of Morinda officinalis in recent 10 years has made great progress. The original problem of Morinda officinalis was determined, the pharmacological effects of some chemical components were explored and the pharmacopoeia standard was improved, but some difficulties in the current research were found. For example, there are many adulterants in Morinda officinalis, so it is suggested that the gene bank of Morinda officinalis and its adulterants should be constructed.
